HKCTA is a National Sports Association (NSA) for tennis in Hong Kong, recognised by both the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Asian Tennis Federation (ATF). HKCTA currently has more than 40 affiliated member clubs and over 4000 individual members.
HKCTA meets its primary objectives through the organisation of a number of local and international tennis events as well as junior and elite development programmes, a corporate training scheme, coaching certification courses, a Tennis-For-All open enrollment programme, and a mini-tennis initiative for young children, amongst other initiatives.

Hong Kong’s flagship tennis tournament, Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open celebrates its 7th edition in 2024 and is part of the Hong Kong Tennis Series, which continuously elevating the professional status of Hong Kong on the international tennis landscape.
Awarded “WTA International Tournament of the Year” in 2018, the WTA 250 Series Event is supported by the Hong Kong Government and title sponsor Prudential Hong Kong Limited. It annually showcases a line-up of world-class players, with past players including Grand Slam champions Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka, Caroline Wozniacki, Angelique Kerber & Garbiñe Muguruza, alongside many of China’s top stars. The 2023 singles champion was Leylah Fernandez and the doubles title was captured by Tang Qianhui and Tsao Chia Yi.
The tournament is a community sports event with the goals of engaging people from all walks of life and fostering a passion for sport and physical activity in the region. This year, more than 50 of the world’s best female players will compete in singles and doubles for prize money of US$250,000 from 26 October to 3 November at the iconic Victoria Park Stadium in the heart of the city.
